Turkish PM will visit the occupied areas of Cyprus next month

According to the Turkish Cypriot daily KIBRIS newspaper (09/10/03), the Turkish Prime Minister, Mr Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is to pay an illegal visit to the occupied area on the ?anniversary? of the unilateral declaration of independence (UDI) on 15 November 1983.

KIBRIS reports that the news about Erdogan?s visit was given by the Turkish State Minister responsible for Cyprus Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullatiff Sener who paid a 24-hour visit to the occupied area accompanied by the Turkish Energy Minister Hilmi Guler for the inauguration of the power station built at the occupied Gastria village.

In his speech Mr Sener said that his government has started working on new projects to be realized in the occupied area. He said that these projects would be announced to the Turkish Cypriots by the Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan, during his forthcoming visit to the occupied area on 15 November 2003.
