Papadopoulos sends message of condolences to Britain
Nicosia, Nov 24 (CNA)--President Tassos Papadopoulos has sent messages of condolences to Queen Elizabeth II and British Prime Minister Tony Blair, regarding the terrorist attack in Istanbul, which resulted in the loss of innocent lives, including the British Consul General.
In his message to Queen Elizabeth, Papadopoulos expresses on behalf of the people of Cyprus his most sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims.
In his message to Blair, Papadopoulos conveys ''a message of deep sorrow and grief to the government and the people of the United Kingdom over this national tragedy''.
''The government and people of Cyprus strongly condemn such brutal acts of violence and remain committed, together with the rest of the international community, in the fight against terrorism'', Papadopoulos says.
