Cypriot Minister to pay official visit to Egypt
Nicosia, Apr 1 (CNA) -- Cyprus Finance Minister Makis Keravnos left today for Egypt for a four-day official visit at the invitation of his Egyptian counterpart, Dr Youssef Boutros Ghali.
An official press release issued here says Keravnos' visit to Egypt aims at reviewing bilateral relations between the two neighbouring countries based on the new conditions formulated following Cyprus' accession to the European Union on May 1, 2004 and Egypt's important role in the region.
During his stay in Egypt the Cypriot Minister will have meetings with the country's People's Assembly Speaker, the Ministers of Economy, Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, Tourism, Foreign Trade and Industry, Investments and Central Bank Governor.
Keravnos will discuss with them various matters with an aim to further expand cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
