Cyprus President on a state visit to Czech Republic

Prague, Apr 18 (CNA) -- Cyprus President Tassos Papadopoulos, who is currently in Prague for a state visit, will hold today official talks with his Czech counterpart Vaclav Klaus and meet other members of the Czech government.
President Papadopoulos is accompanied by Foreign Minister George Iacovou, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism George Lillikas and other officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Iacovou and Lillikas will hold today separate meetings with their Czech counterparts, Cyril Svoboda and Milan Urban.
Cyprus President will also have separate meetings with Czech Prime Minister Stanislav Gross, Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament Lubomir Zaoralek and President of the Senate of the Parliament Premysl Sobotka.
This morning President Papadopoulos and his entourage will be officially welcomed by Vaclav Klaus and his wife Livia at the Prague Castle. The two couples will later on exchange gifts and Cyprus President will sign the Book of Honour.
After a private meeting of the couples, Cyprus and Czech official delegations will hold talks, followed by a joint meeting with the media.
Cyprus President and his wife will then attend a luncheon given in their honour by President of the Czech Senate Premysl Sobotka.
After a brief meeting with the Mayor of Prague Pavel Bem, President Papadopoulos will hold meetings with Czech Prime Minister Stanislav Gross and President of the Chamber of Deputies Lubomir Zaoralek.
In the evening, an official state dinner will be given by the Czech presidential couple in honour of President Papadopoulos, his wife Fotini and the Cyprus delegation.
