Diana Ross to perform in Cyprus
Superstar diva Diana Ross will be making a one-off appearance in Nicosia to kick off her European tour this summer.
And in an extra treat for music fans, members of supergroups Queen, Marillion, Manfred Mann, Ultravox plus Paul Young will appear in an All-Stars concert in the Antonis Papadopoulos Stadium in Larnaca on June 16.
Ross' one-off concert on June 26 signals the start of the 'This is it Diana Ross European Tour 2005.'
According to the soul diva's public relations office: "Diana Ross is overwhelmed and very excited to be visiting and beginning her tour on the island of Aphrodite. She promised to stage one of her best performances in Cyprus for the people who will be lucky enough to get tickets and be part of the show."
Ross' management team chose the D'Avila Moat after visiting Cyprus in January to scout venues.
Although the singer will be jetting into Cyprus on the day before her concert, expert producers and assistants will be arriving earlier to oversee final preparations with Galaxias Productions, while lighting and sound systems will be shipped in especially from London and Athens.
Ross will be leaving on June 27 to continue her tour in Athens.
