Cyprus Commerce Minister to pay official visit to Israel
Nicosia, May 20 (CNA) -- Cyprus Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism George Lillikas leaves Sunday for a three day official visit to Israel, at the invitation of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Israel Ehud Olmert.
The aim of Lillika's visit is to review relations between Cyprus and Israel in all fields, in the light of Cyprus' accession to the EU.
During his meetings with Olmert as well as with the Ministers of Tourism and Infrastructure, Lillikas will discuss ways of cooperation in the fields of commerce, industry, tourism and technology, with a view to improve and develop the two countries bilateral relations.
He will also hold meetings with the Ministers of National Economy and Tourism of the Palestinian Authority, with whom he will discuss the issue of the Cyprus government's aid towards the Palestinians.
Lillikas will be accompanied by civil servants, representatives of Cyprus Tourism Organisation, Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Travel Agents Association and the Cyprus-Israeli Business Association as well by a businessmen delegation.
He will return to Cyprus Wednesday May 25, 2005.
