Cypriot President signs book of condolences for British victims
Nicosia, Jul 8 (CNA) -- Cypriot President Tassos Papadopoulos signed today the book of condolences, which opened at the British High Commission in Nicosia for the victims of yesterday’s bomb attacks in the British capital.
Speaking after signing the book, President Papadopoulos said “I convey our sympathy and sincere wishes to the victims and their families over the unacceptable and barbaric attacks that took place in London yesterday”.
He added that the people of Cyprus consider the attacks as general attacks against democracy, freedom and the human dignity of all the peoples in the world”.
Earlier, House of Representatives President Demetris Christofias signed the book of condolences.
