Cyprus condemns the bombing attack in Netanya, Israel
Nicosia, Jul 13 - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus strongly condemned the bombing attack that took place on Wednesday in the town of Netanya which tragically caused the loss of innocent lives and the wounding of many others.
"We offer our condolences to the families of the deceased and express our deep sympathy to them, as well to the families of the injured," said an offical announcement.
"Cyprus reiterates that such terrorist acts serve no other purpose but to seek to derail the peace process. Extremism must not be allowed to prevail.
"We call upon both parties to cooperate fully in the effort to curtail extremist acts, particularly as the disengagement of Israel from the Gaza Strip and parts of the northern West Bank draws nearer and to continue working for the realization of the common objectives of the Road Map," the announcement also said.
