European Sports Medicine Congress to be held in Cyprus
Limassol, Oct 11 (CNA) – The 4th European Sports Medicine Congress begins on Thursday in Cyprus organised by the Cyprus Association of Sports Medicine.
President Tassos Papadopoulos will open the congress, which will take place in the southern coastal town of Limassol.
Prior to the congress, participants are holding discussions on issues concerning sports injuries and team doctors (FIMS Team Physicians Development Course and IOC Medical Committee Olympic Solidarity Course on Sports Rehabilitation).
Chairman of the Cyprus Association of Sports Medicine and president of the organizing committee Dr. Costas Christodoulakis said the “congress is of great significance”, noting that more than 300 delegates from 40 countries will participate.
There will also be discussions on physical modalities, proprioception training, flexibility training, tendon injuries rehabilitation, shoulder and ankle rehabilitation as well as hip and pelvis injuries.
