Former Cypriot President underwent angioplasty
Nicosia, Oct 11 -- Former Cypriot President Glafkos Clerides has underwent a balloon dilatation at Nicosia General Hospital after a coronary angioplasty had shown stenosis on one of his coronary arteries.
A medical press release said that after the angioplasty Clerides' state of health was very good.
The press release issued by his doctors also said:
''Stenosis of a coronary artery was diagnosed and an angioplasty with the usage of stent was carried out...after the angioplasty the President's condition is very good.''
His team of doctors said Mr. Clerides will remain under medical observation until Saturday.
