Vice President of Russian Duma arrives to Cyprus
Nicosia, Nov 23 (CNA) - Vice Chairman of the Russian State Duma, Valentin Kuptsov, arrives today to Cyprus for a four day visit during which he will be received by President of the Republic Tassos Papadopoulos.
Kuptsov, on the island on the occasion of the 20th Congress of left wing AKEL party, will meet this afternoon with President of the House of Representatives and AKEL General Secretary Demetris Christofias. The meeting with President Papadopoulos will take place tomorrow, Thursday.
On Friday Kuptsov will meet the President of the Cyprus-Russia Friendship Group at the House, chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and President of the right wing DISY party, Nicos Anastasiades.
Kuptsov is accompanied by Russian deputy Viktor Pautov, and Andrei Filipov, member of the International Relations Department of the Russian Federation Communist Party.
The Russian delegation departs Saturday morning.
