President Papadopoulos meets with Irish Premier

Dublin, Nov 30 (CNA) -- Cypriot President Tassos Papadopoulos held today in Dublin a private meeting with Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern.
After signing the visitors' book, the Cypriot President and his entourage attended a working lunch during which delegations from both countries discussed the Cyprus problem, EU - Turkey relations as well as European issues of Cypriot concern.
Earlier today President Papadopoulos and the officials who accompany him at his official visit here, met with the President and members of the Irish Parliament's Committee for Foreign Affairs.
Later on he will meet with the President and members of the House Committee for European Affairs, who visited Cyprus last July. President Papadopoulos is also scheduled to meet with the President of the Irish Senate.
This morning President Papadopoulos had a working breakfast with Irish journalists whom he briefed on the Cyprus problem and other issues. During his visit here, he gave a series of interviews to the Irish press.
