Chinese Ambassador says Cyprus and China share common interests
Nicosia, Dec 27 -- China's new Ambassador to Cyprus Yali Zhao said
today that the two countries had many common interests and even greater
margins for the further development of their friendly relationship and
cooperation in all fields.
Speaking after a courtesy meeting with Minister of Communications and Works Haris Thrasou, the Chinese Ambassador said he would make efforts to promote and strengthen the cooperation of the two countries and would make efforts to promote and strengthen the cooperation of the two countries.
Thrasou said there were many issued that should be discussed with China, such as shipping and road works.
''We have traditional relations with China, and China, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, supports Cyprus,'' he added.
