Irish parliamentary delegation to visit Cyprus
Nicosia, Jan 13 (CNA) - Chairman of the Seanad Eireann, Irish senate, Rory Kiely arrives in Cyprus on Saturday afternoon for an official visit, heading an Irish parliament delegation.
During its stay on the island, the delegation will be received by President Tassos Papadopoulos and President of the House of Representatives Demetris Christofias, and will have separate meetings with Minister of Foreign Affairs George Iacovou and President of the House Foreign Affairs Committee Nicos Anastasiades and members of the Committee.
The Irish delegation will also meet with the mayors of Nicosia, Famagusta and Yeroskipou, Michalis Zampelas, Ioannis Skordis and Tasos Kouzopos respectively, and will visit the ceasefire line in Nicosia and Dherynia.
Kiely will be accompanied by Minister of State at the Department of the Taoiseach and Government Chief Whip Tom Kitt, and MPs Tom Hayes (Fine Gael), John Cregan (Fianna Fail), John Curran (Fianna Fail), James Breen (Independent) and Breeda Moynihan-Cronin (Labour).
