Greek Premier briefs Chinese President on Cyprus
Athens, Jan 20 (CNA) – Greek Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis has said Greece and China agree on the handling of issues which concern Greece, including the Cyprus problem.
Speaking in Beijing after he was received by President Hu Jintao, the Greek Premier said he informed the Chinese President about the Cyprus problem and thanked him for China’s positive stance.
“Our countries closely cooperate within the Security Council framework and have similar views on matters of principle concerning the handling of many internatrional issues”, said Karamanlis.
He further said he informed President Hu on Greek matters of interest such as the Cyprus problem and thanked him for Beijing’s positive stance.
