According to the Athens News Agency, the two Ministers described their meeting as constructive and useful, noting that many such meetings will follow.

Bakoyiannis said the people of Greece and Turkey ''want us to have very good and friendly relations. We believe that the Turkish people have a European future.''

Bakoyiannis has already announced that she invited Gul to visit Athens in the near future.

''We will have many opportunities to meet and if not we will create them,'' Gul said, adding that he and Bakoyiannis have a relation of mutual trust, which will give a new impetus to relation of the two countries.

According to Turkish Anadolu News Agency, asked if the Greek Foreign Minister laid down a proposal regarding the Cyprus question, Gul said ''this meeting was not held to bring forward a proposal. We discussed our relations. She invited me to visit Greece and I will do so soon.''

''What is important is to work with confidence and goodwill. And, this is the requirement of neighborhood,'' he added.
