Bakoyiannis’ visit to strengthen cooperation between Greece & Cyprus

Athens, Apr 3 (CNA) -- The aim of Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyiannis’ visit to Cyprus is to increase even further the cooperation in view of developments following the new momentum on Cyprus.
Speaking after meeting Greek Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis, ahead of her arrival to the island on Tuesday, Bakoyiannis said here Monday “the Greek and Cypriot governments have close cooperation”.
She underlined that the aim of her visit to Cyprus is for “this cooperation to intensify even further ahead of the various developments that exist with the new momentum on Cyprus”.
Greek Foreign Ministry Spokesman George Koumoutsakos said that during her visit, Bakoyiannis will have the opportunity to carry out “an overall review of the current situation of the Cyprus problem as well as its prospects”.
Asked if there is any possibility Bakoyiannis will meet so called foreign minister in the Turkish occupied north of Cyprus, Serdar Denktash, Koumoutsakos categorically replied “there is no such possibility”.
