Greek PM invites Papadopoulos to visit Athens in July

Brussels, Jun 16 (CNA) -- Greek Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis extended an invitation to Cypriot President Tassos Papadopoulos to meet in Athens in July, Greek government sources said here Friday.
The invitation was made during a meeting the two had in Brussels this morning, on the sidelines of the last day of deliberations at the European Council.
According to the government sources ''right after the meeting, the two sides confirmed the good cooperation and coordination between the two governments''.
The same sources said the meeting was held in ''a very good climate''.
The meeting was held in the presence of the ministers of Foreign Affairs of the two countries, newly appointed Cypriot FM George Lillikas and Greek FM Dora Bakoyiannis. Also participating were the Permanent Representatives of Greece and Cyprus at the EU, Vasilis Kaskarelis and Emilios Emiliou, respectively.
Lillikas will hold his first meeting with Bakoyiannis in the Greek capital during a working visit on 22 June.
