An exhibition on the history of theater in Cyprus is on display at coastal Limassol
Imaginative stage props, colorful costumes, wonderful masks, impressive photographs and artistic promotional posters, in addition to other stage tools, are on display at Limassol’s Evagoras Lanitis Centre.
Director of the Cyprus Theatre Organisation (THOK), Mr. Andy Partzilis, said at the opening:
“As THOK celebrates 35 years since it was established, we put on display works by important Cypriot and foreign artists, beautifully presented, in addition to a screen showing brief extracts from past productions, with special mention to directors, artists, actors, script writers and other staff who have contributed to the organization.”
THOK’s first performance was in 1971 with “Agamemnon”, and it has staged about 300 productions over the decades.
