Two artists – a Greek Cypriot and a Turkish Cypriot – will represent Cyprus at Venice's 52nd Biennale of Contemporary Art, to take place from 10 June-21 November 2007.

The two artists are: Mr. Harris Epaminonda, born in 1980 who lives and works in Nicosia and London and Mr. Mustafa Hulusi, born in 1971 in London, UK, who lives and works in London.

A press release issued by the Cultural Services of Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture in Nicosia said Ms. Denise Robinson, the Curator for Cyprus at this year’s Biennale, was responsible for selecting the artists among a total of 65 participation proposals.

The Cyprus Pavilion at the Biennale is at Palazzo Malipiero. Preview for Press and accredited art professionals starts on 6 June 2007. The exhibition opens to the public on 10 June.
