Cyprus and Belgium Sign Memorandum of Cooperation for Koulikoro, Mali
Nicosia, Feb 29 – Cyprus and Belgium will cooperate to improve the living conditions of the people of Koulikoro in Mali.
The two countries have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the framework of the ''Construction of Crossing-Over Works'' program aiming to assist the area.
According to an official press release, the Memorandum was signed by Cypriot Ambassador in Belgium Mr. Konstantinos Eliades and Development Cooperation Minister of Belgium, Mr. Charles Michel, in the presence of Mali’s Ambassador to Belgium Mr. Ibrahim Bocar Ba.
Cyprus’ contribution will reach €400.000 ($615,000), and will be used for the construction of four bridges, which will improve all-year and all-weather access to four villages of the Koulikoro area.
