Secretary Clinton to discuss Cyprus problem during her visit to Turkey
The Cyprus problem will be among the issues the US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton will raise during her meeting with government officials in Turkey.
“Certainly, she will raise regional issues with Turkey, and they’ll talk about Greece and Cyprus and about domestic developments in Turkey, as they always do. So that will definitely be a part of the conversation”, a Senior State Department Official told reporters covering Secretary Clinton's visit to Turkey.
The Senior State Department Official statements were made to a reporter who asked whether he was aware of a nine-page letter the American Hellenic Institute sent to the Secretary of State outlining its demands, and whether Secretary Clinton intended on raising any of those issues among which were the Cyprus problem and Turkish claims on the Aegean sea.
