Leaders to embark on new round of intensive talks on Monday, July 25
President Christofias and Turkish Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu will hold a new meeting on Monday in the framework of the UN – led direct negotiations aiming at a settlement of the Cyprus problem.
The meeting is the first of a series of all-day meetings to which will take place over the next several weeks.
In statements to the press following his last meeting with Mr. Eroglu on July 19, President Christofias had said that they agreed that the intensive talks will be held twice a week, lasting all day, until the end of October.
He added that there will be a break between August 7 to 21 and also during the UN General Assembly in September.
