CYPRUS PAVILLION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 58TH SUMMER FANCY FOOD TRADE SHOW

New York, May 2012 -- The Cyprus Embassy Trade Center will be participating in the 58th Summer Fancy Food Show held by The National Association for the Specialty Food Trade from June 17-19 in Washington D.C at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center located at 801 Mount Vernon Place NW. The Cyprus Pavilion will house 8 companies from Cyprus including first time exhibitors K. Fruit Factory Ltd who will be displaying their fresh vacuum packed Pomegranate fruit and Pomegranate juice products, and Tsangarides Winery LTD who will be displaying their unique Cypriot wines. Pavlos Cakes Industry Ltd., exhibitors who made their Fancy Food debut last year, are making a return this year to display organic bakery and confectionery products.

In addition, the Cyprus Pavilion will include five other exhibitors and will be showing an array of Cypriot specialty food products including Cyprus indigenous grape varietal wines, authentic cheeses (Halloumi, Kaskavali, Kefalotiri, Anari), Yogurt, Honey Spreads derived from the combined mixing of rare varietals of organic honeys and other ingredients, natural bee honey, organic herb extracts, and many other fine specialty food products.

The NASFT Fancy Food show is North America’s largest specialty food and beverage event, an integral part of The Cyprus Embassy Trade Center’s efforts to promote and expand the export of unique Cypriot Specialty food products to the US market. Cyprus Food products are becoming increasingly well known for their authenticity, ethnic and cultural origin, natural ingredients, and consistent high quality, and have an increasingly developed presence in high-end restaurants and specialty food stores.

The Cyprus Embassy Trade Center in New York is the Economic and Commercial arm of Cyprus’ Diplomatic representation covering the USA, Canada and Latin America. Under the direction of the Trade Commissioner, its primary role is the promotion of the economic interests of the Republic of Cyprus through promoting, facilitating and attracting foreign investment and facilitating the expansion of exports of Cyprus’ goods and services, and monitoring related market and policy issues.
