Nicosia, Dec 16 (CNA) - Cyprus President Glafcos Clerides will approve tomorrow the guidelines regarding the package of measures which he intends to announce to Turkish Cypriots, following the Copenhagen European Council's decision that Cyprus will accede the European Union.

Government Spokesman Michalis Papapetrou, speaking after a meeting today at the Presidential Palace, during which the issue was examined, said that instructions have been given to a subcommittee to convene tomorrow at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to complete the relevant document, which will be placed before the President on the same day for approval and sanctioning.|

The measures will then be placed before the Council of Ministers in the coming days, while issues, which need legislative adjustment, will be forwarded to the House of Representatives.

Papapetrou said the subcommittee comprises the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Attorney General, the Chief Negotiator at the accession talks and bureaucrats.
