The Office of the Presidential Commissioner forms part of the Presidency of the Republic of Cyprus and has been mandated, among others, with coordinating and supporting issues related to expatriate Cypriots.

The Service for Overseas and Repatriated Cypriots, under the supervision of the Presidential Commissioner, ensures the continuous and close contact with the expatriate Cypriots in the countries where they live and work. The Service assists expatriate Cypriots in maintaining their connection to Cyprus and in resolving any problems that may arise. The Service organizes local and international conferences for overseas Cypriots.

The Office of the Presidential Commissioner, in cooperation with the Press and Information Office, publishes a bimonthly electronic newsletter that aims to inform expatriates on various issues of interest. This can be accessed online via the Press and Information Office website: https://publications.gov.cy.

The Office of the Presidential Commissioner has also issued a Guide for Cyprus Diaspora and Repatriates. This serves in particular to aid those who intend to repatriate to Cyprus and guide them in the first repatriation stages through to their adaptation to living in Cyprus. Expatriates may find this a useful tool providing general information on Cyprus and State services.
